Grambling Legends and Friends of Football to Hold Celebration

GRAMBLING, LA (February 7, 2013) – Super Bowl XXII will be day in history that not only Gramblinites, but the entire country will remember.  It is the day that Grambling State University Alum and Washington Redskins starting quarterback Doug Williams re-wrote the record books and became the Black Quarterback to win a Super Bowl. 

The Grambling Legends and the Friends of Football will commemorate the momentous occasion with a celebration on Saturday, February 9th at the Louisiana Leadership Institutes' Debbie Allen School of Music and Performing Arts in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.  Cocktails will be served at 6 p.m. and the celebration will begin at 7 p.m.  For more information call Debra Butler at (225) 266-3449.
