Rafael Ramirez III was selected the Grambling State University Male Athlete of the Week.

Ramirez had a huge week at the plate as Grambling State went 2-2 overall and opened SWAC play with a 2-1 record. The San Antonio, Texas native batted .571 and went 8-for-14 at the plate, with three doubles and a pair of home runs. He slugged 1.214 and had a .625 on-base percentage in the four contests. Ramirez went 3-for-4 in the SWAC series opener over Prairie View A&M on March 2, with three RBIs and two runs scored.
