The mission of the Grambling State University Department of Athletics is to graduate our student-athletes and compete successfully at the highest level of NCAA Division I Intercollegiate Athletics while supporting the total development of our student-athletes and staff.
The vision of the Department of Athletics is to build on our national reputation of winning championships, graduating student-athletes, and developing leaders. The department is widely recognized for the delivery of educational and athletic-related experiences. The Department of Athletics expands its brand by forging stategic corporate partnerships, challenging top competition engaging the alumni, and recruiting the best talent available. Further, the department is a source for pride for alumni and global supporters.
