Grambling State Athletics Internship Program

Welcome to the Grambling State University Athletics Internship Program!  As a vital part of our athletics department, you will have the opportunity to gain invaluable hands-on experience, develop essential skills, and make meaningful contributions to our dynamic and vibrant community.

What can you expect from the program?

Throughout your internship, you will have the chance to immerse yourself in various aspects of collegiate athletics, gaining practical experience and valuable insights into the operations of our athletics department. Whether you're interested in ticket office management, sports medicine, academic advising, administration, sports operations, or media/communications, there's an opportunity for you to explore your interests and expand your horizons.

As an intern, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Work closely with experienced professionals in your chosen field.
  • Gain practical experience through hands-on projects and assignments.
  • Develop valuable skills that will prepare you for future career opportunities.
  • Make meaningful contributions to our athletics program and the broader university community.

What are the requirements?

As part of the internship program, there are a few requirements that you should be aware of:

  • Time Commitment: Interns who are not in their internship semester are required to commit 20 hours per week to their internship duties. During their internship semester, the time commitment increases to 42-45 hours per week.
  • Uniform Policy: We have a uniform policy in place to promote professionalism and unity within our team. 
  • Internship Departments: You will have the opportunity to intern with departments such as the ticket office, academics, sports medicine administration, sports operations, and media/communications, depending on your interests and skill set.
