Halima Chepkwony was named the Grambling State University Female Student-Athlete of the Week.

Chepkwony had a huge weekend for the Lady Tigers outdoor track and field team as she placed second in the 10000m (40:54.30), steeplechase (11:39.05) and in the 5000m (19:09.51). She helped Grambling State to a third-place tie with Arkansas-Pine Bluff at the 2018 Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) Outdoor Track and Field Championships.
