De'Arius Christmas was selected the Grambling State University Male Student-Athlete of the Week.

Christmas, a native of Vicksburg, Miss., was named the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) Defensive Player of the Week after registering three tackles and his first-career interception. His 66-yard interception return was the first of his career and capped a 21-point first quarter in Grambling State's 34-0 win over Alabama State.
