Grambling State University Athletics

Marc Orozco was selected the Grambling State University Male Student-Athlete of the Week.

Orozco, who was named the SWAC Specialist of the Week, had a record-tying game despite Grambling State's 33-26 loss to Alcorn State. The redshirt senior collected 14 points (four field goals and two extra points). The Denton, Texas native entered the day 14 points shy of tying the GSU and SWAC All-Time mark in points scored, and matched that with a field goal in the fourth quarter. He also booted a career-long 52-yard field goal early in the third quarter.
 
Orozco will break Brian Morgan's GSU and SWAC mark next weekend against Arkansas-Pine Bluff with either a field goal or extra point.
