Shakyla Hill was selected the Grambling State University Female Student-Athlete of the Week.
Hill averaged 15.0 points, 6.0 rebounds, 6.0 steals and 5.3 assists in three games last week. The Little Rock, Ark. native opened the season with an 18-point, six-board, five-assist, three-steal outing against Auburn on Nov. 6. She followed that with another stat-stuffing performance in the Lady Tigers' 75-51 win versus McNeese State, scoring a team-high 19 points on 8-of-12 shooting and adding eight steals, eight assists and five boards She scored eight points, seven steals, seven rebounds and three assists versus Southern Miss to conclude the week.
Hill, the SWAC Preseason Player of the Year and Preseason Defensive Player of the Year, shot a combined 41.7 percent from the field during the Lady Tigers' three games.
