Joseph McWilliams earned the Grambling State University Male Student-Athlete of the Week.

McWilliams, who earned the SWAC Defensive Player of the Week, the College Sports Madness SWAC Defensive Player of the Week and the Louisiana Sports Writers Association Defensive Player of the Week, had a big weekend in the Tigers secondary. The Baton Rouge, La. native had an interception return for a score and recovered a blocked extra point and returned it for a two-point conversation in Grambling State's 29-16 road win. In addition, McWilliams led the defense with eight solo tackles.
