Shakyla Hill earned the Grambling State University Female Student-Athlete of the Week honor.
Hill, the Southwestern Athletic Conference Player of the Week, averaged 17.5 points, 8.5 rebounds, 8.5 assists, 2.5 steals and 1.5 blocks against Southern and Alcorn State. She posted a triple-double of 20 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists in a loss against Southern. She followed that with 15 points, seven boards, seven assists and four steals in a victory over Alcorn State. In the two games, she shot 50 percent (9-of-18) from the floor and 71 percent (17-of-24) from the free-throw line.
