Grambling State University Athletics

Rikkelle Miller was named the Grambling State University Female Student-Athlete of the Week.

Miller, who was named the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) Hitter of the Week and the College Sports Madness SWAC Player of the Week, hit .692 over the course of four games for the Lady Tigers as the team went 4-0 over the course of the HBCU Division II Tournament this past weekend. The freshman collected nine hits in 13 at-bats, driving in 10 runs.

She also scored four runs and posted three games with two or more hits and multiple RBI. Against Tuskegee, Miller was a perfect 3-for-3 with four RBI and a two-run home run. In the tournament finale against Lane College, Miller posted three hits while scoring two runs and driving in two.
