Box Score GRAMBLING, La-- The Tigers (2-11, 0-3) dropped their first home conference game against rival Southern University with a final score of 59-53. This was a close game between the two rivals.
 
Mark Gray led the Tigers with 14 points and Chase Cormier was the second leading scorer for the Tigers with 10 points.
 
The Tigers were trailing at the half 20-30 and mid-way through the second period. Suddenly, the Tigers came fighting back as freshman guard Jefkins Agyeman-Budu hit a 3-point jumper to start an 18-5 run and the Tigers came within 4 points with two minutes left.
 
After a few turnovers, Southern had a 57-51 lead with 10 seconds remaining lockdown the win from Grambling.
 
The Tigers will now regroup as they host Alcorn State University Monday, Jan. 12 in the Fredrick C. Hobdy Assembly Center at 7:30 p.m.
