The Grambling State University baseball team will move its three-game home series against Southern University, Friday through Sunday, to Baton Rouge.

Ongoing field repairs to Wilbert Ellis Field at RWE Jones Park will not be completed in time for this weekend necessitating the series being played at Lee-Hines Field. GSU will serve as the home team throughout the series.

The three single games against Southern University are scheduled for Friday at 6 p.m., Saturday at noon and Sunday at 1 p.m.

Grambling heads into this weekend conference series with a 1-5 record. This will be the first conference series for both GSU and Southern University, which the Tigers defeated to open the 2016 baseball season 15-0 in the MLB Urban Youth Academy Tournament in New Orleans.
