BRANDON, Miss. | The Grambling State University bowling team picked up three victories over the weekend at the Jackson State University Sonic Boom Invitational.

The Lady Tigers (3-19) grabbed wins over Alabama A&M and Belmont Abbey during the three-day tournament. Grambling State went 1-4 during the opening round with losses to Alabama A&M, Louisiana Tech and Southern. The Lady Tigers dropped matches to Jackson State, Drury, Alabama State and Alabama A&M during second-round play. In the tournament bracket, the Lady Tigers edged Alabama A&M, 4-3, to advance to the next round. However, Grambling State concluded play with losses to Southern and Alabama A&M.

In the 692-627 win over Alabama A&M during first-round play,
Laurencia Harmon, who finished 23rd overall, rolled a match-high 191 to grab the win. Harmon averaged 154.0 during five traditional matches. Against Belmont Abbey, the Lady Tigers picked up the 755-717 win in Baker play.

Grambling State returns to action this weekend when the Lady Tigers compete at the Hornet Classic, host by Alabama State University.
