GRAMBLING, La. | In a tight confined area of Grambling Hall on the campus of Grambling State University on Wednesday evening, Tigers head football coach
Broderick Fobbs and his staff ushered in a new era.
Prior to the scheduled team meeting, Grambling State players were treated to a hype video, featuring a smoke machine and strobe lights. Once the video had concluded, several players made their way down the aisles wearing 16 color uniform combinations to ring in the adidas era.
Grambling State will have four jersey options – black, gold, red and white. The Tigers shed the grey Russell jerseys and have brought back the red uniforms.
The Tigers will conclude the fall camp with Media Day on Aug. 18 and continue their preparation for Saturday, Sept. 1 when Grambling State visits Lafayette, La. to take on Louisiana.
After a trip to Cajun Field, the Tigers visit Northwestern State on Sept. 8, before having the first of two open weeks on Sept. 15. After the open week, the Tigers will have their 2018 home opener on Sept. 22 against Alabama State at Eddie G. Robinson Memorial Stadium.
