LAKE CHARLES, La. | The Grambling State University men's and women's indoor track and field teams were back in action on Friday as both teams placed fifth at the McNeese Indoor 2 Meet held at the McNeese State Recreation Complex.

In the women's standings, Grambling State finished with 34 points to claim the fifth spot, while host McNeese State won the meet at 174 points. Southeastern Louisiana (109), Southern (55) and Louisiana (Lafayette) (50) rounded out the field.

On the men's side, Grambling State registered 27 points to take fifth as McNeese State won the meet at 165 points. Louisiana (Lafayette) captured second with 113 points, followed by Southeastern Louisiana (110) and Southern (33).

Women's Track
> In the 200m,
Chloe Robinson finished fifth at 26.48, while
Marcquita Stalbert was 10th, with a time of 29.32. Christiaun Washington placed 12th
> Marrisa Stove recorded a fifth-place finish with the 400m, with a time of 1:02.39, while
Angelica Brown took eighth at 1:02.60.
Dayna Sterling finished in 12th
>
Naomi Kiprop paced the Lady Tigers in the 1-mile run, with a sixth-place finish, with a time of 5:35.60.
Winny Chirchir placed ninth at 5:45.16, while
Halima Chepkwony (12th),
Priscilla Kibet (14th) and
Joan Jelagat (15th) also competed in the event
> In the 3,000m,
Naomi Kiprop finished 10th, at 11:22.82, while
Priscilla Kibet and
Winny Chirchir placed 12th and 13th.
Halima Chepkwony claimed 15th
>
Breanna Wayne claimed fifth in the 55m hurdles at 8.68
> The 4x400m relay team of
Angelica Brown,
Daneisha Curry, Marrisa Stove and
Breanna Wayne finished second, with a time of 4:10.92

Women's Field
> In the long jump, Victoria Walter finished fourth, with a mark of 5.38m, while
Aliyah Campbell placed seventh at 5.25m.
Chloe Robinson claimed 12th
> Victoria Walter placed fifth in the triple jump, with a mark of 11.12m

Darnese Woods picked up one point in the shot put with a toss of 11.23m
> Tatyana Guidry finished ninth in the weight throw, with a mark of 14.43m, while
Aneisha Bell placed 12th,
Darnese Woods 22nd and Mia Jackson 26th

> In the 200m,
Shamyron Morrison placed seventh at 23.67, while
Evan Chambers (23.78) and
Jaden Johnson (24.01) took ninth and 10th, respectively.
Charles Sullivan (12th),
Javon Tate (13th) and
Lee Rudley (15th) also competed in the event
>
Jonathon Sawyer claimed 13th in the 800m
> In the 1-mile run,
Aaron Koech and
Hassan Chepkwony placed 10th and 11th, respectively, with times of 4:42.52 and 4:46.87.
Noah Rugut (13th),
Hillary Kiprop (15th) and
Bryson Bradford (18th) also competed in the event
>
Aaron Koech finished 12th in the 3,000m, while
Hassan Chepkwony,
Noah Rugut and
Hillary Kiprop claimed 17th, 18th and 19th.
Bryson Bradford also competed in the event and took 22nd
> In the 55m hurdles,
Elijah Johnson placed eighth, with a time of 9.34
> The 4x400m relay team of Evan Chamberts, Frederic Green,
Jonathan Sawyer and
Charles Sullivan finished fourth, with a time of 3:30.41

> In the men's long jump,
Roderick Atkinson placed 15th and Trinavous Belton claimed 17th
> Trinavous Belton captured eighth in the triple jump, with a mark of 11.75m
> Nicholas LaGarde placed 20th in the weight throw
