WVB: Southwestern Athletic Conference Round Up: Day Two Recap
JACKSON, MISS. l The Grambling State University women's volleyball team were unable to hold onto a three-set affair to Alabama A&M University, but beat out Alcorn State, 4-1, on Saturday, in the second round of the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) Round Up.
Alabama A&M (12-12 overall, 9-2 SWAC) won all three sets; 25-17, 25-19, 25-16, 25-14 to win the match.
Chasity Nicks ended the night with nine kills and one dig, while
Maurisa Harris tallied 11 digs.
Terra Brooks finished the contest with 16 kills and 10 digs. Maci Battle recorded 16 digs.
Against Alcorn, (4-19, 2-11) Grambling State won four out of the five sets; 25-13, 25-18, 25-11, 25-17, 15-12 to win the match.
Nicks led the Lady Tigers with 13 kills and eight digs and
Gillian Jones chipped in 10 kills along with three digs.
Kabria Dame recorded 15 digs.
Sydney Joseph paced Alcorn with 14 kills and a solo dig, while Jeda Curry tallied 11 kills and 10 digs.

> Grambling State finished the match with 38 kills, 50 digs, 29 assists and eight service aces
> Alcorn registered 34 kills, 24 assists, 28 digs and 12 service aces
> Grambling State committed 21 errors on 120 attempts
> Alcorn committed 29 errors on 132 attempts
