D'IBERVILLE, Miss. | The Grambling State University women's bowling team competed in its final Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) meet of the season over the weekend during the SWAC East Round-Up.

The Lady Tigers picked up a victory over Alabama A&M during the opening day, but it wasn't enough as Grambling State narrowly missed out on a SWAC Tournament berth.

Grambling State defeated Alabama A&M, 669-618, during the first match, but the Lady Tigers would not be able to earn another victory.

Ariel Henderson paced Grambling State and finished the weekend 36th. She registered 2,126 total pints in 14 matches and averaged a 151.8 pinfall. In addition, she rolled a 218 in a loss against Prairie View A&M. Catherine Conn, who doubles as a goalkeeper on the women's soccer, had an outstanding weekend in just her second tournament. She finished 40th for the tournament with 1,176 total pins. She rolled a career-high 192 in the loss to PVAMU.
