HOUSTON, Texas | The Grambling State University men's and women's outdoor track and field teams competed over the last two days at the 67th Annual Texas Southern Relays.

Women's Track
> Marrisa Stove finished second in the 200m, with a time of 26.34 and just missed the top spot by one second.
Dayna Sterling placed fourth at 26.88, which
Jeunice Maxime' claimed eighth at 27.84
> In the 400m,
Daneisha Curry placed fourth, with a time of 58.57
>
Naomi Kiprop (4:54.98),
Halima Chepkwony (5:03.29) and
Winny Chirchir (5:07.86) took third through fifth and
Priscilla Kibet claimed eighth at 5:18.27 in the 1,500m
> Grambling State claimed the top four spots in the 5,000m.
Naomi Kiprop won the event at 18:51.90, while
Winny Chirchir (19:21.92),
Priscilla Kibet (19:22.72) and
Halima Chepkwony (19:36.86) placed second through fourth.
Joan Jelagat earned seventh at 24:13.07
> In the 100m hurdles,
Rayna Whyte finished fifth at 15.17
>
Dayna Sterling earned sixth in the 400m hurdles, with a time of 1:10.91
> The 4x100m relay team of
Daneisha Curry,
Jeunice Maxime',
Marcquita Stalbert and Victoria Walter finished with a time of 48.29, which was just .01 off winner Houston Baptist's time
> In the 4x200m relay, the team of
Daneisha Curry,
Jeunice Maxime' Marcquita Stalbert and
Dayna Sterling took third, with a time of 1:43.44
> The 4x400m relay team placed third at 4:01.76

Women's Field
> In the high jump,
Jada Johnson placed sixth, with a leap of 1.37m
> Victoria Walter won the long jump, with a jump of 5.87m
> In the triple jump, Victoria Walter claimed ninth at 10.66m

Aneisha Bell finished third in the shot put, with a toss of 11.81m, while
Darnese Woods placed sixth at 11.29m
> In the discus, Tatyana Guidry earned a second-place finish at 40.65m, while
Aneisha Bell claimed third at 38.34m.
Darnese Woods earned seventh at 34.94m and Mia Jackson placed ninth, with a toss of 28.30m
> In the hammer throw, Tatyana Guidry placed fourth at 43.05m, while
Aneisha Bell was fifth at 41.01m.
Darnese Woods finished ninth, with a toss of 32.60m

Men's Track
>
Jonathon Sawyer placed fourth in the 200m, with a time of 21.89 and missed the top spot by .18.
>
Hassan Chepkwony finished second in the 5,000m, with a time of 15:40.32 and just missed winning the event by two seconds.
Bryson Bradford placed sixth (15:59.27), while
Aaron Koech claimed eighth (16:08.71).
Noah Rugut,
Hillary Kiprop and Jeremiah Kimeli placed 10th through 12th
> The 4x100m relay team of
Evan Chambers,
Devyn Deckard, Frederic Green and
Jonathon Sawyer finished fourth at 42.45
> In the 4x200m, the team of
Evan Chambers,
Devyn Deckard, Frederic Green and
Jonathan Sawyer finished second at 1:27.55
> The 4x400m relay team placed fourth at 3:19.50

Rudolph Valentine placed fourth in the long jump, with a leap of 6.72m
> In the triple jump,
Rudolph Valentine finished eighth at 12.75m
> Nicolas LaGrade placed fifth in the shot put, with a toss of 10.43m, while Alexander Blunt finished seventh at 9.84m
> In the hammer throw, Nicolas LaGrade earned a fourth-place finish, with a toss of 14.39m
