MONTGOMERY, Ala. | The Grambling State University women's tennis team opened Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) East Round-Up play on Saturday with a 4-1 loss to Alcorn State.

Grambling State (2-9 overall, 2-4 SWAC) dropped the doubles point after Alcorn State won at No. 2 and No. 3.

Alcorn State grabbed a 3-0 lead with victories at No. 3 and No. 4. However,
Danna Galeano defeated Veronika Pytilkova, 6-4, 6-2, to give Grambling State a point, but the Lady Braves won the match with a win at No. 2.
