GRAMBLING, La. | Grambling State University head softball coach
Nakeya L. Hall announced that Friday's Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) series opener with Prairie View A&M has been postponed due to inclement weather.
The two teams were scheduled to begin the three-game series on Friday at the GSU Softball Complex, but heavy rains on Thursday, followed by showers early Friday afternoon postponed the series.
Grambling State (16-19 overall, 4-10 SWAC) and Prairie View A&M (21-12, 8-2) are scheduled to play a doubleheader on Saturday, with first pitch set for 12 p.m. at the GSU Softball Complex. Hall and PVAMU head coach Vernon Bland, along with the umpires, will meet on Saturday to determine if the postponed game will be made up on Easter Sunday.
