RUSTON, La. | The Grambling State University men's and women's outdoor track and field teams concluded its two-day event at the Jim Mize Invitational, hosted by Louisiana Tech University, on Saturday.
 
Women's Track
> Daneisha Curry placed ninth in the 400m, with a time of 59.15
> In the 800m, Angelica Brown finished 10th in 2:32.81
> Naomi Kiprop finished second in the 1,500m in 5:01.47, while Winny Chirchir placed sixth in 5:18.85. In addition, Priscilla Kibet placed eighth in 5:21.01
> In the 100m hurdles, Breanna Wayne finished fourth, with a time of 15.01
> Dayna Sterling finished seventh in the 400m hurdles in 1:06.95
> The 4x400m relay team of Angelica Brown, Daneisha Curry, Dayna Sterling and Marrisa Stove finished third in 4:01.40
 
Women's Field
> Jada Johnson captured third in the high jump, with a leap of 1.51m
> Victoria Walter claimed third in the long jump at 5.65m, while Breanna Wayne and Serena Jimerson placed seventh and ninth, respectively, at 5.28m and 5.15m
> In the triple jump, Victoria Walter finished fourth at 11.61m, while Serena Jimerson placed sixth at 11.15m
> Darnese Woods claimed fourth in the shot put, with a toss of 11.55m
> In the discus, Tatyana Guidry placed third at 40.85m, while Darnese Woods was eighth at 36.03m
 
Men's Track
> Rudolph Valentine just missed on the top 10 in the 100m, with a time of 11.72
> Jonathon Sawyer continued his impressive season by winning the 400m in 46.50
> In the 800m, Bryson Bradford finished ninth in 2:07.09
> Aaron Koech and Hassan Chepkwony placed fourth and fifth, respectively, with times of 4:09.01 and 4:10.84 in the 1,500m. In addition, Hillary Kiprop finished 10th in 4:21.81
> In the 110m hurdles, Albert Cain and Elijah Johnson placed seventh and eighth, with times of 16.67 and 19.46
> The 4x400m relay team of Evan Chambers, Lee Rudley, Jonathon Sawyer and Rudolph Valentine finished third at 3:26.69
 
Men's Field
> In the long jump, Rudolph Valentine claimed fourth at 6.77m
