GRAMBLING, La. | In the first home conference basketball games of the year, Grambling will host Southern in a classic Southwestern Athletic Conference showdown on Saturday, January 9 at the Fredrick C. Hobdy Assembly Center.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, seating at the H.A.C. will be limited to 25 percent capacity (1,900 total). Also, only the first 500 Grambling State University students will be allowed to enter the game. Unlike previous years, coaches and referees will not be allowed to enter by using their Louisiana High School Athletic Association (LHSAA) cards. Masks or a proper face covering is required to enter the Fredrick C. Hobdy Assembly Center, which is now a clear bag facility. See graphic below (bottom) to view Grambling athletics' clear bag policy.
The Lady Tigers tip off at 3 p.m. while the Tigers tip off at 5:30 p.m. Time is subject to change due to the cleaning of the arena between games. Doors open 60 minutes prior to tip off of the opening contest.
