PENSACOLA, Fla. | The Grambling State University women's bowling team snapped a 23-match losing streak on Sunday as the Lady Tigers competed at the FAMU Rattler Invitational, host by Florida A&M University, over the weekend.
Grambling State (1-25), which finished sixth at the tournament, went 0-5 in baker matches on Friday, 0-5 in traditional matches on Saturday. The Lady Tigers defeated FAMU to open action on Sunday in bracket play with a 4-0 victory, snapping the losing streak.
FINAL RESULTS
- Grambling State finished the tournament in sixth as Alabama State won the tournament
- Emmanual College placed second, followed by Southern, Jackson State and Florida A&M
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Grambling State dropped all five baker matches to begin the tournament on Friday, falling to Jackson State, Alabama State, Emmanuel College, Southern and Florida A&M
-GSU also dropped all of the traditional round matched to Alabama State, Jackson State, Emmanual College, Florida A&M, and Southern
- The Lady Tigers wrapped up the weekend with a win over Florida A&M, before falling to Jackson State and FAMU

Grambling State returns to the lanes Nov. 12-14 in Jackson, Miss. at the JSU Sonic Boom Invitational, hosted by Jackson State University.
