WACO, Texas | Grambling State University's Sharon Labich finished 35^th on Friday morning at the 2021 NCAA Division I South Central Region Championships at the Cottonwood Creek Golf Course, hosted by Baylor University.
 
Labich, the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) Individual winner and outstanding runner, finished with a time of 21 minutes and 49 seconds.

"The meet was a lot of what I was expecting in terms of the competition level and was fast from start to finish," Labich said. "It was a complete eye opener for me and hope I can share this with the rest of the athletes at Grambling."
 
Grace Forbes, of Rice, won the meet, crossing the finish line in 19:53.3 and was 16 seconds ahead of Isabel Van Camp of Arkansas.
