Box Score RUSTON, La. | The Grambling State Lady Tigers softball team fell 8-1 against Louisiana Tech at the new Dr. Billy Bundrick Field in non-conference action.

Redshirt junior Ja'Lynn Bonner (1-5) struck out one Lady Techster batter while allowing one hit and two earned runs in 2.0 innings pitched for GSU before being replaced by teammate Sherrell Matthews, who gave up four earned runs in 3.0 innings of work.

Grambling (7-15 overall, 4-6 SWAC) managed just two hits on the evening as India Wells and Tytianna Robinson generated the offense, but it was redshirt freshman A'yanna Williams who scored the teams' only run of the night on a fifth inning error from Lady Techsters catcher Brooke Diaz.



GSU pitcher Dacia Richard entered the game late as she struck out one La Tech batter and allowed two earned runs in 1.0 innings of work.

Grambling State will travel to Pine Bluff, Ark. to face Arkansas-Pine Bluff on Sunday, April 25 in Southwestern Athletic Conference action. First pitch is set for 1 p.m. at Torii Hunter Softball Complex.
