                Box Score Houston, Texas | Jason Alvarez registered ten strikeouts over 7.2 innings and 
Jahmoi Percival went 4-4 with five RBI to lead the Tigers to a 10-1 win over Texas Southern Saturday afternoon at MacGregor Park. 
"We had a great pitching performance from Alvarez today," Grambling State head coach 
James Cooper said. "We also had big two out hits from 
Cameron Bufford, 
Jahmoi Percival, Rafael Ramirez, and 
Ben Avila. It was a great team win to take control of the series, now we give ourselves a chance to win the series on tomorrow. 
Jahmoi Percival came through with timely at bats, singling home one run in the first and second inning. He hustled for a two-out double that started the scoring rally in the third inning. In the eighth, Percival walloped a triple to left center field. 
Keylon Mack then lined a base hit to center field to bring Percival home.

Grambling (12-18, 9-4 SWAC) and Texas Southern (10-26, 9-9 SWAC) continue the series at 2 p.m. Sunday at MacGregor Park.

	- Grambling State finished with ten runs on fourteen hits, committed one error, and left ten on base. 
- Jahmoi Percival led the Tigers by going 4-4 with three runs scored and five RBI.
- Rafeal Ramirez went 3-4 with four RBI. 
- Cameron Phelts went 2-5 with two runs scored. 
- Cameron Bufford, Keylon Mack, Ben Avila, CJ Mervilus, and Caleb Clines each had one hit.
- Jason Alvarez (3-3) started on the mound for the Tigers and lasted 7.2 innings. He gave up one run on five hits, with one walk, and ten strikeouts. 
- Corben Peters and Brandon Tyler pitched in relief. 
- Texas Southern finished with one run on five hits, committed three errors, and stranded six on base. 
- Oscar Ponce led the Tigers at the plate by going 3-4 with one RBI. 
- Kam Fields (4-4) started for Texas Southern and went 3.0 innings. He gave up eight runs on nine hits, walked three, and struck out three.
- A.J. Winger, Jacob Morin, and Jo Martinez pitched in relief.
