RUSTON, La. | Sharon Labich won her second consecutive cross country meet as the Grambling State University women's team placed third and the men finished fifth on Saturday at the Mook 4 Invitational, hosted by Louisiana Tech University.
WOMEN'S FINAL STANDINGS
- Grambling State finished with 67 points to claim third
- Louisiana-Monroe won the meet with 32 points
- Nicholls State claimed the second spot with 51 points points
- Louisiana Tech (80) and Northwestern State (133) rounded out the team scoring
WOMEN'S RESULTS

Sharon Labich, who won the Bob Gravett Invitational last weekend, finished the 4K (2.49 miles) course in 14 minutes and 30 seconds.

Naomi Kiprop claimed the 13th spot in 16:04.1

Lillian Thuo placed 20th, with a time of 17:03.4

Priscilla Kibet finished 25th in 18:07.9

Mildred Jebet placed 31st in 18:49.9

Deborah Kiplagat (35th),
Angelica Brown (41st) and Judith Kiptanui (42nd) also competed in the meet
MEN'S FINAL STANDINGS
- Grambling State finished with 112 points to claim the fifth spot
- Louisiana Tech won the meet with 47 points
- Jackson State placed second (65), while Louisiana-Monroe (68) took third
- Northwestern State recorded 110 points to place fourth
- Nicholls State wrapped up the team scoring with 115 points
MEN'S RESULTS

Mathias Cheboi finished the 6.44K (four miles) course in 21:47.2 to place 13th
- Aryamanua Rogers claimed 19th in 21:58.3
- Bethwel Limo finished just outside the Top 20 (21st) in 22:19.0

Devin Malone (51st) and John Mayo (52nd) also competed in the meet
UP NEXT
Grambling State returns to the course on Saturday, Sept. 25 at the Enos Derbonne Sports Complex in the Lake Charles Toyota Cowboy Stampede, hosted by McNeese State University.
