LAKE CHARLES, La. | The Grambling State University cross country teams returned to the course on Saturday as the Lady Tigers finished fifth and the men claimed seventh at the Lake Charles Toyota Cowboy Stampede, hosted by McNeese State.
WOMEN'S FINAL STANDINGS
- Grambling State finished with 118 points to claim the fifth spot
- Houston won the meet with 40 points
- McNeese State was second (50), followed by Lamar (85) and Houston Baptist (93)
- Xavier (La.) claimed sixth with 190 points as Texas Southern (192) and Northwestern State (195) rounded out the field
WOMEN'S RESULTS

Sharon Labich saw her streak of two straight victories come to an end as she finished fifth on the 5K course with a time of 17 minutes and 43 seconds

Naomi Kiprop caimed 21st in 19:34.9

Lillian Thuo (29th) crossed the line in 20:14.3

Priscilla Kibet (22:14.9) and
Mildred Jebet (22:36.8( finished 40th and 41st, respectively

MEN'S FINAL STANDINGS
- Grambling State finished with 192 points to place seventh
- Lamar won the meet with 32 points
- McNeesee State placed second with 44 points, followed by Houston Baptist (72), Houston (112), Mississippi College (115) and Northwestern State (184)
MEN'S RESULTS

Mathias Cheboi finished the four-mile course in 20:51.8 to claim 26th
- Bethwel Limo placed 36th, with a time of 21:24.1
- Miciah Myles crossed the line in 24:17.4 for 51st
- Edwin Bitwott,
Devin Malone and John Mayo finished 56th, 57th and 59th, respectively
