MONROE, La. | The Grambling State University women's tennis team opened its season on Saturday with a 6-1 loss to Louisiana-Monroe at Heard Stadium.
DOUBLES
- Louisiana-Monroe (1-0) swept all three matches to claim the doubles point as the Lady Hawks took a 1-0 lead into singles action
SINGLES
- Grambling State (0-1) dropped five of the six singles matches
- Ana Ochoa won by default at No. 6 to give the Lady Tigers the lone win

Grambling State returns to the courts on Saturday, Feb. 5 in Monroe, La. to take on Nicholls. First serve is set for 2 p.m.
