PENSACOLA, Fla. | The Grambling State University women's bowling team opened its 2022 season on Friday with five baker matches in the FAMU Rattler Invitational, hosted by Florida A&M, at the STRIKERZ Entertainment Center.
The Lady Tigers (0-5) competed against three Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) institutions during Day 1 of competition. GSU dropped the opening match, 891-793 to Tulane, which including rolling a day-best 236 in the second game. GSU fell to Texas Southern, 829-695 and to Alabama State, 969-735.
Grambling State wrapped up the first day with a 900-674 and 953-647 losses to Southern and Emmanuel College, respectively.Â
The Lady Tigers continue play on Saturday, with Day 2 action, at the FAMU Rattler Invitational. Saturday's action will be five matches of traditional play, beginning at 10 a.m. GSU will meet Jackson State (Lanes 27-28), Florida A&M (Lanes 15-16), Alabama State (Lanes 15-16), Southern (Lanes 23-24) and Emmanuel College (Lanes 27-28).
