MONTGOMERY, Ala. | The Grambling State University women's bowling team returned to action after more than a month off as the Lady Tigers dropped five matches to open play on Friday at the ISTAP Hornet Classic, hosted by Alabama State University.

Grambling State fell to Southern, host Alabama State, Jackson State, Alabama A&M and UAB on Friday in baker match play and will return to action on Saturday morning with five traditional matches.
