D'IBERVILLE, Miss. | The Grambling State University women's bowling team opened the 2023 portion of its schedule in the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) Roundup in D'Iberville, Miss. on Friday afternoon, falling in five matches.
The Lady Tigers fell to Jackson State (838-794), Texas Southern (869-853), Alabama State (1076-649), Alabama A&M (981-750) and Southern (937-898).
Alexandria Williams had the hot hand for GSU, posting scores of 200 or more in three of her matches. She scored 210 versus JSU, 218 against Texas Southern and 211 in the final match of day versus Southern.
Grambling State returns to action on Saturday with five matches. Play begins at 10 a.m.
