D'IBERVILLE, Miss. | The Grambling State University women's bowling team notched its first win on day one of the SWAC Round-Up II.  

The Lady Tigers  defeated Texas Southern (793-752) while dropping traditional-style matches to Jackson State (876-685), Alabama State (962-662), Alabama A&M (884-821), and Southern (865-658). 

Fr. Karley Anderson and So. Alexandria Williams lead the Lady Tigers in the winning match, scoring 167 and 166, respectively. Williams had the team high of the day versus Alabama A&M with a score of 204. 

Grambling State returns to action on Saturday facing Florida A&M, Prairie View A&M, Jackson State, Texas Southern, and Alabama State. Play begins at 10:00 a.m.
