D'IBERVILLE, Miss. | The Grambling State University women's bowling team went 0-4 on the final day of the (Southwestern Athletic Confernce) SWAC Round-Up II.
The Lady Tigers completed SWAC regular season play, dropping traditional-style matches to Alabama A&M (794-712), Southern (809-753), Florida A&M (916-758), and Prairie View A&M (887-755).
Freshman Morgan Bates made an impressive showing during the match against Florida A&M, scoring the team high 172 finishing the game with four consecutive strikes. Redshirt sophomore. Bre'Nay Durant topped the day with a score of 188 vs Prairie View A&M.
The Lady Tigers finished eighth in the team standings. Southern claimed the the SWAC regular season championship with 20-8 cobine record. They were followed by Alabama State (18-10), Prairie View A&M (17-11), Texas Southern (16-12), Florida A&M (14-14), Jackson State (14-14), Alabama A&M (12-16) and GSU.
Up next Grambling State will travel to the Lady Techsters Classic in Dallas, TX, February 10-12, 2023.
