GRAMBLING, La. | Grambling State University baseball's Keylon Mack racked up another postseason honor, as he was named to the 2023 ABCA/Rawlings NCAA Division I South All-Region First Team.
The teams are voted on by members of the American Baseball Coaches Association and the process is led by the ABCA NCAA Div. I All-America Committee.
Mack had an astonishing 2023 campaign that saw him bat .350 with 16 home runs, the second-most in the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC). He was also among the conference leaders with 59 RBI, 19 doubles, a slugging percentage of .761 and an OPS of 1.201. He also posted the second-most multi-hit games on the squad (20).
The redshirt-senior from Gladewater, Texas helped guide the Tigers to a 29-26 overall record, with a 22-7 mark in the SWAC play. His performance was instrumental in leading GSU to the 2023 SWAC Baseball Tournament semifinals.
Mack's selection to the ABCA/Rawlings All-Region Team adds to his postseason accolades which include being named First-Team All SWAC, being selected to participate in the inaugural MLB Swingman Classic, being named a Minority Baseball Prospects (MBP) All-Star and being named to SWAC All-Tournament team.
