MONROE, La. | The Grambling State University women's cross-country team turned in a strong performance on Saturday morning at the ULM Warhawk XC Festival.
The Tigers turned in a fourth-place team finish, posting one of its strongest performances on the young season. As a team, GSU turned in a total time of 1:59:38 with an average time of 23:55.
Ruth Kibet paced GSU's runners, turning in a sixth-place individual finish with a time of 19:50.2. Mercy Kwabai also landed inside the top 15, coming in 12
th place (20:31.4).
Lillian Thou (23:19.1) came in 24
th place.
Amari Wrightsil (27:42.4),
Kayla Ford (28:15.6) and Anaya Jones (28:59.0) rounded out the standings for the Tigers finishing 33rd, 34th and 36th.
Grambling State men's team was tagged with a DNF. Individually,
Aidan Starling paced the team placing 23
rdwith a final time of 27:31.8.
