HOUSTON, Texas| The Grambling State University track & field teams continued the indoor portion of its schedule on Friday afternoon at the Howie Ryan Invitational hosted by the University of Houston.
The Tigers got several solid finishes on the women's side, particularly in the field events.
Jamie Richardson highlighted the day in the women's high jump, landing on the podium with a third-place finish with a height of 5.07.00m.
Dior Nicholson, who was named the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) Women's Field Athlete of the Week, wrapped up fourth place in the women's shot put with a toss of 13.49m.
Imani McGee and
Jordyn Wyatt placed high in the women's weight throw with McGee coming in eighth (14.35m) and Wyatt placing 10
th (13.72m).
In the women's long jump,
Jazmine Carraway notched 10
th place with a leap of 5.46m.
Ivory Davis finished just outside the top 10 in the 60m hurdles, coming in 11
th with a time of 8.83.
Kayla Ford was solid 12
th place in the women's 400m with a time of 58.41.
