8/22/2024 11:37:00 AM

MONROE, La. | Grambling and the University of Lousiana at Monroe are set to face off once again. In their previous encounter in 2023, the Lady Tigers narrowly lost 1-0 to ULM. The only goal came from a penalty kick in the opening minute.

The last time Grambling beat ULM was in August 2019.

This matchup against ULM will be the Lady Tigers fourth game in a row on the road this season.

ULM has 11 goals on the season in two matches, taking 64 shots and allowing only three.

Head coach Justin Wagar is looking forward to the matchup.

"ULM will be a tough test for us. They are averaging over five goals a game so far this year while conceding zero," Wagar said. "They were a top 75 team in the country last year. So this will be a good battle and challenge for us."

Last season, ULM went 9-2-8 overall and 4-1-5 in their conference. The squad scored 35 goals over the season and allowed 18. Midfielder Inge Konst, led the team with 10 goals and five assists.
