GRAMBLING, La. | The Grambling State University women's soccer team plays against Louisiana Tech Sunday night in a cross-parish rivalry. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. at Robert Mack Caruthers Field.
Louisiana Tech are currently 0-1-2, losing their last match at home to South Alabama.
The Lady Tigers stand at 2-1-1 so far on the season.
Tech has not scored yet this season and has allowed two goals. They have taken 31 shots and allowed 33.
The last time the Lady Tigers played against Tech, they secured a 2-1 victory in October 2023.
This win was Grambling State's first ever victory over Louisiana Tech in women's soccer.
Forward
Kayla Reed scored the late game-winning goal, giving the Tigers a 2-1 victory over Tech.
Last season, Tech was 6-11-3 overall and 2-4-2 in their conference. They were led by forward Kyra Taylor who had nine goals on the season. Forward Lauren Egbuloniu was close behind with seven goals and two assists.
