GRAMBLING, La. | Grambling State softball interim head coach D'Maria Matthews announced the addition of Megan Choate as an assistant coach.
Originally from Montesano, Washington, Megan is an energetic assistant coach and hitting specialist known for developing confident, competitive, and technically sound athletes.
For the past four years, Megan served as an assistant coach at Pensacola State College, playing a key role in hitting development, recruiting, game strategy, and the overall growth of the program. She brings high energy, strong communication skills, and a player-centered coaching approach that elevates both individual athletes and team culture.
As a four-year starter at the University of Toledo, she helped lead the Rockets to their first-ever MAC Championship in 2019 while earning her bachelor's degree in communications with a minor in marketing.
She completed her master's degree in kinesiology of coaching from Southern Arkansas University.
