BIRMINGHAM, Ala. | Grambling State wrapped up the 2025 SWAC Indoor Track & Field Championships with several strong performances, highlighted by senior
Kayla Ford and
Marissa Tell earning top-three finishes in their respective events.
Ford claimed third place in the women's 400m finals with a personal-best time of 55.54 seconds.
Tell delivered a standout performance in the women's triple jump, earning second place with a mark of 12.41 meters.
The Lady Tigers also saw a solid effort in the women's shot put as sophomore Deserae Charles placed ninth with a throw of 12.02 meters.
On the men's side, the 4x400m relay team comprised of Greenwood, Simmons, Quincy Chery, and
Amari Gatewood-Peterson recorded a season-best time of 3:18.37 to finish 11th overall.Â
In the men's weight throw, sophomore
Jalen Peel and senior
Jean de Dixon placed 12th and 14th, respectively, with marks of 14.09 meters and 13.88 meters.
UP NEXT
The Tigers head to Baton Rouge, Louisiana for the 2025 SWAC Outdoor Championships from Sunday, May 11 through Tuesday, May 13.
