HOUSTON, Texas | The Grambling State University baseball dropped the second game of its series at Houston 16-0 on Saturday Night at Don Sanders Field at Darryl and Lori Schroeder Park.
GSU (4-9) was only able to scratch out two hits in the loss, a triple by Jaylyn Benett and a single by Martavious Thomas.
Mason Martinez (0-2) was charged with loss after allowing five runs on five hits in four innings of work. He registered two strikeouts and issued two walks.
Houston (10-4) scored 16 runs on 15 hits with Connor Mcginnis and Xavier Perez leading the way with three hits apiece. Mcginnis went 3-for-4 with three doubles and three RBI. Perez was 3-for-5 with four RBI and triple.
UH's Drezek Graysen (2-0) pitched six innings, surrendering no runs on two hits. He struck out four and walked two.
