JACKSONVILLE, Fla. | Shatara Johnson and
Shamya Joiner represented Grambling State University in the women's long jump at the 2025 NCAA East First Round, competing among the top collegiate athletes in the nation on Thursday afternoon at Hodges Stadium.
Johnson, led the way for the Lady Tigers with a jump of 5.95 meters (19 feet, 6¼ inches), placing 26th overall in the first round.
Shamya Joiner continued her postseason development with a mark of 5.65 meters (18 feet, 6½ inches), finishing 42nd overall while competing in Flight four.
