GRAMBLING, La. | The Grambling State University women's soccer program released its 2025 schedule, featuring a packed slate of non-conference battles and a challenging road stretch across five states.
Head coach
Justin Wagar and the Lady Tigers will open the season on the road and close out October with three straight home games before heading into the SWAC Tournament.
Grambling State opens its 2025 campaign on Friday, Aug. 15, with a morning matchup at LSU Shreveport. Two days later, GSU welcomes Nicholls State to the GSU Soccer Complex for the home opener on Sunday, Aug. 17.
The Lady Tigers hit the road again on Friday, Aug. 22, to take on Houston Christian at 5 p.m.
The Tigers will host Hampton on Aug. 24, before wrapping up August with a road contest at East Texas A&M University on Thursday, Aug. 28, with a 7 p.m. kickoff.
The month of September opens with two in-state matchups an away fixture at Northwestern State on Thursday, Sept. 4 at 6 p.m., followed by a home clash with Southeastern Louisiana on Saturday, Sept. 6.
GSU then heads to Florida for a major road swing, beginning with Florida Gulf Coast University on Thursday, Sept. 11, and wrapping up with a morning match at the University of South Florida on Sunday, Sept. 14, at 11 a.m.
After a short break, the Lady Tigers resume play at Rice University on Sunday, Sept. 21, with a noon kickoff.
Conference play begins the final weekend of September, as Grambling visits Alcorn State on Friday, Sept. 26, followed by a Sunday afternoon clash with Mississippi Valley State on Sept. 28 at 1 p.m.
The team will then travel to Birmingham for a neutral-site contest against South Carolina State on Monday, Sept. 29, at 2 p.m.
GSU will use the first weekend in October as a bye week to rest and recover before a key homestand.
Homecoming weekend brings a matchup with Southern on Friday, Oct. 10, followed by a clash against Jackson State on Sunday, Oct. 12.
The Lady Tigers return to the road on Friday, Oct. 17, to face Prairie View A&M at 7 p.m., and then visit Texas Southern for a 1 p.m. match on Sunday, Oct. 19.
The final home stretch begins with Alabama A&M on Friday, Oct. 24, during Parents Weekend. Two days later, the Tigers will celebrate Senior Day against Alabama State on Sunday, Oct. 26.
The regular season finale is set for Friday, Oct. 31, against Arkansas-Pine Bluff on Halloween.
The 2025 SWAC Tournament will be held Nov. 5–9 at Prairie View A&M.
