GRAMBLING, La. | The Grambling State University softball program and interim head coach
D'Maria Matthews have announced its 2026 schedule.
The Tigers open the 2026 campaign on the road at the JSU HBCU Invitational in Jackson, Miss., Feb. 7–8.
Grambling State will face Dallas Christian and Arlington Baptist on Feb. 7 before taking on Jackson State and Alabama A&M on Feb. 8 to open the season.
GSU continues its early-season road stretch with a midweek matchup at Northwestern State on Feb. 10 before heading to Commerce, Texas, for the Lion Invitational Feb. 12–14.
During the tournament, the Tigers will face Southeast Missouri State, East Texas A&M, Missouri State, Marist, and Rhode Island.
The Tigers remain on the road for the HBCU Classic in Montgomery, Ala., Feb. 20–22, where Grambling State will square off against South Carolina State, Mississippi Valley State, Lincoln (Pa.), Alabama State, and Alabama A&M.
Grambling State opens its home schedule on Feb. 25 when it welcomes the University of Louisiana - Monroe to the GSU Softball Complex.
The Tigers will travel to ULM for a second match on March 4 before returning home to open SWAC play against Texas Southern March 6–7 in a three-game series.
Following a midweek home contest against Northwestern State on March 10, the Tigers hit the road for conference series at Southern (March 13–14) and Prairie View A&M (March 20–21).
Grambling State then returns home to host Arkansas-Pine Bluff March 27–28.
Conference play continues with a road series at Alcorn State April 3–4, followed by a midweek doubleheader at Wiley University on April 7.
The Tigers host Prairie View A&M April 10–11 before welcoming Southern for a home SWAC series April 17–18 at the GSU Softball Complex.
Grambling State closes the regular-season conference slate on the road at Texas Southern April 24–25.
The 2026 SWAC Softball Tournament is scheduled for May 4-8 in Gulfport, Mississippi.
