GRAMBLING, La. | The Grambling State University baseball program and head coach
Davin Pierre has officially unveiled its 2026 baseball schedule.
The 2026 slate features 52 games, with 19 home contests. The Tigers will take on regional national powerhouses in addition to challenging Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) schedule.
Grambling State opens the season in the MLB HBCU Power Series at Trustman Park in Pearl, Miss. GSU will take on Alcorn State (Feb. 13), Texas Southern (Feb. 14) and Alabama A&M (Feb. 15.)
On Feb. 17, the G-Men hosts Wiley University in its home opener at Wilbert Ellis Field at R.W.E. Jones Park. Wiley will visit Grambling again on March 24.
The Tigers then head to the Sunshine State on Feb. 20 to take part in the Andre Dawson Classic in Vero Beach, Fla. at the Jackie Robinson Training Complex. Grambling State faces Southern (Feb. 20), Alabama State (Feb. 21) and Jackson State (Feb. 22).
After returning to Louisiana, Grambling State makes a short trek on I-20 East to face Louisiana-Monroe on Feb. 24. The Tigers then travel to Baton Rouge, La. to take on Dartmouth (Feb. 28) and Northeastern (March 1) at Alex Box Stadium on the campus of LSU before heading over Natchitoches, La. for a mid-week battle with Northwestern State on March 3.
On March 6, GSU begins a three-game weekend road series at Southeastern Louisiana before returning home to play Northwestern State (March 11).
The Tigers will also face two Top 5 programs when GSU travels to Baton Rouge, La. to the defending national champions LSU on March 17 and No. 4 Mississippi State on March 31.
On March 25, the G-Men challenge Tulane in New Orleans, La.
McNeese State visits Grambling State on April 7. The Tigers will return the trip to Lake Charles La. on April 14. GSU's final non-conference game of the season is a road tilt in Lafayette, La. versus the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns.
Grambling State opens SWAC play on March 13 with a three-game series at Alabama State. GSU will also travel for away SWAS series at Texas Southern (March 27-29), Alcorn State (April 24-26), Arkansas-Pine Bluff (May 8-10) and Bethune-Cookman (May 14-16).
GSU hosts two of its biggest SWAC rivals with Jackson State visiting Wilbert Ellis Field from April 2-4 and Southern coming to town a week later from April 10-12. The Tigers are host Alabama A&M (March 20-22), Prairie View A&M (April 17-19) and Florida A&M (May 1-3).
The 2026 SWAC Baseball Tournament is scheduled for May 20-24 at Rickwood Field in Birmingham, Ala.
