Jamil Muttilib was named the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) Men's Basketball Newcomer of the Week.
In his return to his hometown for games versus Texas Southern and Prairie View A&M, the Houston, Texas native averaged 25.5 points and six rebounds per game.
In GSU's contest at TSU, he scored 26 points with two rebounds and two steals. In Monday's game at PVAMU, Muttilib notched a 25-point, 10 rebound double-double.
