FAYETTEVILLE, ARK. | The Grambling State University track and field team turned in several strong performances Saturday at the Woo Pig Classic inside the Randal Tyson Track Center.
Skylar Hundall led the Tigers with a first-place finish in the men's mile, clocking a 4:07.85.
Elijah Simmons added a podium performance in the men's 200 meters, placing third with a season-best time of 22.54.
Nick Bailey placed fifth in the men's high jump with a personal best of 2.10m.
In the men's long jump
Issac Jenkins placed ninth jumping 6.89m.
On the women's side,
Trinity Parham recorded a personal-best 8.00 seconds in the 60-meter preliminaries.
Marissa Tell placed second in the triple jump with a season-best 12.40m.
Journee Mayfield had a season-best with 7.98 seconds.
Aamerie Anderson competed in the 60-meter hurdles, while
Aniyah Conley represented Grambling in the 400 meters against a competitive field.
Grambling will return to action next week as the Tigers continue preparing for conference competition.

The Tigers will travel to Birmingham, Alabama, to compete in the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) Indoor Championships at the Birmingham CrossPlex on Saturday and Sunday, February 21–22.
