GRAMBLING, La. | Grambling State dropped the series finale to Prairie View A&M, 15–2 on Saturday at the GSU Softball Complex.
Prairie View (22-14) wasted no time setting the tone, scoring two runs in the first inning and adding four more in the second to build an early 6–0 lead.
The Panthers continued to apply pressure with three runs in the third.
Grambling State (13-23) got on the board in the second inning when
Ziya Donaldson delivered an RBI double, scoring
Logan-Ray Gaspar.
The Lady Tigers added another run in the third as
Ahsunte' Specks drove in
Kamryn Broussard.
Prairie View broke the game open in the fourth inning, plating six runs, highlighted by a two-run home run from Jordan Franklin extending the lead to 15–2.
Donaldson and Specks each recorded RBIs for Grambling, while Broussard and Gaspar accounted for the Lady Tigers two runs.
Jaidan Richard was charged with the loss, while Yazmyn Stewart earned the win for Prairie View.

Grambling State will stay home to host Southern University in a three-game SWAC series at the GSU Softball Complex. The series begins Friday, April 17 at 1 p.m., followed by a doubleheader on Saturday, April 18 at 12 p.m. and 2 p.m.
